Booking & Refund Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026. The same terms appear on every tour page; your booking confirmation restates them in writing.
Booking and deposit
Nothing is booked until you've seen the full day-by-day plan and itemised price and said yes. A deposit of 10% of the tour price then confirms your booking and secures your guides, hotels and train tickets; the balance is due 30 days before departure. Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment. Payment methods are confirmed in writing with your quote — never payment over chat without a formal booking confirmation.
Cancellation by you
- 30 or more days before departure: full refund of payments made, minus costs already incurred.
- 15–29 days before departure: 70% refund of payments made.
- 8–14 days before departure: 50% refund of payments made.
- 0–7 days before departure, or no-show: no refund.
- Issued flight, train and cruise tickets are refunded per supplier rules.
Cancellation by us
If we or the operating agency have to cancel your trip, you receive a full refund of everything you have paid us for that trip.
Changes and refunds in practice
Date changes on a private trip are free to request — we re-quote any cost difference (hotel or train price changes) before you commit. Refunds are returned by the same method you paid, once your cancellation is confirmed. Travel insurance is yours to arrange, and we recommend it covers cancellation.
